The Cherry Creek Chamber of Commerce has developed this information to provide quick and easy information for visitors to Denver and Cherry Creek. Cherry Creek is the Cherry on Top of Denver -- offering the Denver metro area best shopping, dining, fine art galleries, and spas, as well as financial and wellness services. Cherry Creek is most unique and we invite all to experience it first-hand.
Located in the heart of Denver, just 10 minutes from downtown, Cherry Creek is one of the city most vibrant collections of neighborhoods. Like no place else, Cherry Creek uniquely blends Denver's premiere shopping districts with its finest neighborhoods.
Cherry Creek is home to two distinct shopping areas. Cherry Creek Shopping Center and Cherry Creek North. With 160 shops, restaurants and services Cherry Creek Shopping Center is Denver's premier shopping destination and one of Denver's top tourist attractions. The world-class shopping center features renowned stores such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor, Foley's, Tiffany & Co., Cartier and Anthropoligie. Dining options include California Pizza Kitchen and Johnny Rocket's as well as the soon to be opened Kona Grill and Elway's Steakhouse.
Just across First Avenue from the shopping center is Cherry Creek North, a collection of boutiques, spas, restaurants, galleries and other specialty shops, including the new JW Marriott, the Inn at Cherry Creek and the world-renowned Tattered Cover Bookstore.
Cherry Creek North is an open-air, pedestrian-friendly shopping experience, while at the same time it is also an important financial district housing seven national banking institutions and the world headquarters of Janus Capital.
Surrounding the shopping districts are Denver's finest neighborhoods. The Cherry Creek North neighborhood is an eclectic blend of townhouses, condominiums, and elegant single-family homes with sidewalks, gardens and unique architecture. Cherry Creek East is a mix of townhouses, high-rise residences and businesses, including three major regional banks.
Cherry Creek South is a collection of exclusive high-rise residences and gated townhouse communities, bordered by Cherry Creek and its popular paved bicycle and strolling path.
The Country Club Historic District is located just north of Denver Country Club from First Avenue to Sixth. Architecturally fascinating mansions and grand houses, designed for Denver's social and political elite, define the 380-home neighborhood.
Hilltop is yet another classic Cherry Creek-area neighborhood, offering stunning views of the city and the mountains. It is one of Denver's foremost communities with much of its original historic architecture still remaining. Home to Jewish, Greek Orthodox, Episcopal, Baptist and Lutheran places of worship, Hilltop basks in it diversity. It also hosts Denver's official Mayoral residence, Cableland, the former home of cable television pioneer Bill Daniels, who donated it to the city when he died in 2000.
Other bordering neighborhoods include the Polo Club, the historic Congress Park neighborhood and Bonnie Brae.
From its premier shopping districts to its diverse surrounding neighborhoods, Cherry Creek is the Cherry on Top of Denver.
